These aren’t your traditional styled shoots.
Each content day is structured like a real destination elopement, from day-before moments to the ceremony and what follows. Nothing is rushed or staged for content.
You’ll photograph two couples across four sessions, including a casual day-before session and a full elopement day for each couple.
This structure allows you to capture the full elopement story, not just highlight moments, resulting in galleries that feel realistic, lived-in, and aligned with the kind of work you want to be booked for.
You’ll document a real couple paddle-boarding across a turquoise alpine lake, surrounded by towering peaks and quiet, intentional moments.
It’s the kind of experience adventurous couples dream about and a chance to capture movement, atmosphere, and connection in a way that feels natural and unscripted.
Two couples, two elopements, two casual shoots — four story-driven moments

Field & Film content days are intentionally paced and thoughtfully designed. This isn’t a rushed styled shoot or a content grab. Each day is built around real flow, real couples, and space to slow down. So that you’re not competing for angles or leaving with work that doesn’t feel like you. The focus is on experience first, imagery second, and confidence always.
Group sizes are intentionally kept small. Each content day is built around two couples at each location, allowing for more shooting time, natural movement, and a calm, collaborative environment. Limited spots ensure you’re never rushed, crowded, or competing for space–and that there’s room to ask questions and create with intention.
I approach every Content Day with care for the land first. Locations are chosen intentionally, permits are secured when required, and group size, movement, and setups are kept minimal to reduce impact. We follow Leave No Trace best practices–staying on trail when necessary, respecting natural boundaries, and moving thoughtfully through shared spaces.
Before we ever arrive, you’ll receive clear guidance on expectations so everyone steps into the environment aligned, informed, and respectful. The goal is to create meaningful work without leaving a mark behind.
Yes. You’ll be added to a private VIP group chat before the content day, which makes it easy to connect with other attendees, coordinate travel, and ask questions leading up to the event.
The closest airport to Ouray is Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ), about 1-1.25 hours away, while the largest major airport is Denver International Airport (DEN), roughly a 6-7 hour drive. Plan to stay in Ouray or nearby Ridgway for the easiest access.
August is a beautiful time in the San Juan Mountains, with vibrant wildflowers and lush alpine landscapes. Daytime temperatures are usually in the mid-60s to mid-70s, while mornings and evenings can feel cooler at higher elevations. Afternoon mountain storms are common, so it’s best to bring layers and a rain jacket.
The experience is designed to be accessible for most activity levels. We’ll be traveling by guided 4x4 tour into the San Juan Mountains, reaching high alpine areas above 10,000 feet. Most locations involve short walks from where we park to overlooks, lakes, or open alpine landscapes. Expect some uneven terrain and time spent outdoors, so comfortable shoes and layers are recommended.
